City council members and mayor; how to get name on ballot: Shall Section 45 of the City of Odessa Home Rule Charter be amended to eliminate current deadlines for requests to be placed on a ballot for election to City Council and to clarify that applications for a place on a ballot for election to City Council shall be subject to the deadlines and requirements as provided by State law?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote removes the charter's own filing deadlines for council candidates and makes applications subject to state-law deadlines and requirements.
A “No” vote means
A no vote leaves Section 45 of the charter unchanged.
