Election of city council members: Shall Section 46 of the City of Odessa Home Rule Charter be amended to clarify the title of Section 46 to more clearly describe content, to eliminate out-of-date and excessive language, to provide for time spent filling a vacancy may not be counted towards calculation of service time for the purpose of term limitations, and providing for disqualification and forfeiture of office for convictions of a felony or a crime involving moral turpitude?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote retitles Section 46, excludes time filling a vacancy from term-limit calculations, and provides for forfeiture of office for felony or moral-turpitude convictions.
A “No” vote means
A no vote leaves Section 46 of the charter unchanged.
