Officers’ oath and bond: Shall Section 50 of the City of Odessa Home Rule Charter be amended to provide that officers elected to City Council of the City of Odessa shall take office at the first regular City Council meeting after the canvass of the election and may take oaths as required by Texas law at any time after the election has been certified?

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote has council members take office at the first regular meeting after the canvass and lets them take the oath any time after the election is certified.

A “No” vote means

A no vote leaves Section 50 of the charter unchanged.
