PROPOSITION A: THIS IS A TAX INCREASE. "Ratifying the ad valorem tax rate of $1.0505 per $100 valuation in the Socorro Independent School District for the current year, a rate that will result in an increase of 18.13 percent in maintenance and operations tax revenue for the District for the current year as compared to the preceding year, which is an additional $17,341,476.00."

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote ratifies the district's $1.0505 per $100 valuation tax rate for the current year (an 18.13 percent increase, $17,341,476 in maintenance and operations tax revenue).

A “No” vote means

A no vote rejects ratifying the $1.0505 rate.
