THIS IS A TAX INCREASE THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $8,000,000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF EVIDENCING THE INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY TO PAY CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS TO BE INCURRED FOR (1) CITY HALL AND THE POLICE STATION RENOVATIONS; (2) WATER AND SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS INCLUDING WATER WELL AND WASTEWATER PLANT; AND (3) CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, AND LEVYING AND IMPOSITION OF TAXES SUFFICIENT TO PAY THE PRINCIPAL OF AND INTEREST ON THE CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION.

A “Yes” vote means

A "for" vote authorizes up to $8,000,000 in certificates of obligation for city hall and police station renovations, water and sewer improvements and professional services, repaid by taxes.

A “No” vote means

An "against" vote rejects issuing the certificates of obligation and the tax to repay them.
