THIS IS A TAX INCREASE. Ratifying the ad valorem tax rate of $1.0828 per $100 valuation in the Seguin Independent School District for the current year, a rate that will result in an increase of 2.8 percent in maintenance and operations tax revenue for the District for the current year as compared to the preceding year, which is an additional $942,852, for the purpose of recruiting and retaining qualified staff, funding safety and security at each campus, and continuing student programs and general operations of the District.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote ratifies Seguin ISD's $1.0828 tax rate, a 2.8% increase in maintenance and operations revenue ($942,852) for staff, safety and programs.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the adopted $1.0828 tax rate.
