The question, as printed on the ballot
THIS IS A TAX INCREASE The authority of the District to issue $50,000,000 of future bonds for the purpose of paying the cost of construction, acquisition, maintenance or improvement of roadways, causeways, bridges, interchanges, approaches, fixtures and necessary land interests for the purpose of serving the District; and the levy of ad valorem taxes sufficient to provide for the payment of principal and interest on such bonds, and for the issuance of bonds.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote authorizes the district to issue $50,000,000 in future bonds for roadways, bridges, interchanges and related land, and to levy a property tax to repay them.
A “No” vote means
A no vote denies the district authority to issue these bonds.
