"THIS IS A TAX INCREASE" RATIFYING THE AD VALOREM TAX RATE OF .6969 IN LOVELADY INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE CURRENT YEAR, A RATE THAT WILL RESULT IN AN INCREASE OF 5.0 PERCENT IN MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS TAX REVENUE FOR THE DISTRICT FOR THE CURRENT YEAR AS COMPARED TO THE PRECEIDING YEAR, WHICH IS AN ADDITIONAL $409,000.
A “Yes” vote means
A vote for ratifies Lovelady ISD's tax rate of $0.6969, which the ballot says raises maintenance and operations tax revenue 5.0 percent, an additional $409,000.
A “No” vote means
A vote against does not ratify the adopted tax rate.
The district's order of election states a 5.5 percent increase ($420,000); the county's final sample ballot prints 5.0 percent ($409,000). The question follows the sample ballot.
