THIS IS A TAX INCREASE. Ratifying the ad valorem tax rate of $0.91090 per $100 valuation in Bland Independent School District for the current year, a rate that will result in an increase of 8.49 percent in maintenance and operations tax revenue for the District for the current year as compared to the preceding year, which is an additional $268,919.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote ratifies Bland ISD's adopted tax rate of $0.91090 per $100 valuation for the current year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects that rate; the board may then not adopt a rate above the district's voter-approval tax rate.
Bland ISD lies mostly in Hunt County with part in Collin County; both counties conduct the election.
