THIS IS A TAX INCREASE "The issuance of $49,500,000 City of Forney, Texas general obligation bonds for a single combined facility that will serve both as (i) a recreational activities center to be owned by the City and leased to and operated by the YMCA, and (ii) a municipal library to be owned and operated by the City and the imposition of a tax sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds."

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote lets Forney issue $49.5 million in bonds for one building housing a YMCA-operated recreation center and a city library, with a tax to repay them.

A “No” vote means

A no vote denies Forney authority to issue these bonds.
