THIS IS A TAX INCREASE. The reauthorization of a local sales and use tax in the Town of Poetry at the rate of one and one-half percent (1.5%) to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets. The tax expires on the fourth anniversary of the date of this election unless the imposition of the tax is reauthorized.

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote reauthorizes Poetry's 1.5% local sales tax for street maintenance and repair for four more years.

A “No” vote means

A no vote does not reauthorize the tax for street maintenance.
