The question, as printed on the ballot

Shall the Charter be amended to (1) prohibit any appointed or hired employee on the City's payroll from contributing to or be requested to contribute or support a candidate for city office; (2) prohibit any appointed or hired employee or Civil Service Employee, while on duty or in uniform, from actively participating in a campaign for a city office; (3) prohibit any person seeking employment or promotion from contributing a thing of value to a person in connection with the employment or promotion; (4) prohibit any person from requiring a Civil Service Employee from contributing to a political campaign or providing a political service and prohibiting adverse action against a Civil Service Employee from refusing to do so; and (5) prohibit any person who violates this provision from appointment or election to city office for four (4) years and require the immediate removal from city employment or office if the person violating this provision is a current officer or employee?

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote bars city employees from contributing to city candidates and from on-duty campaigning, among other limits, with removal and a 4-year office ban for violators.

A “No” vote means

A no vote leaves the Terrell charter's rules on employee political activity unchanged.
