The question, as printed on the ballot
The termination of the Liberty Community Development Corporation and the abolition of the existing one-half of one percent (.5%) sales and use tax for the promotion and development of new and expanded business enterprises; and the adoption of a local sales and use tax in the City of Liberty at the rate of one and one-half percent (1.5%). This would result in no change to the total sales tax rate.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote ends the Liberty Community Development Corporation and its 0.5% sales tax and sets the city's own sales tax at 1.5%, with no change to the total sales tax rate.
A “No” vote means
A no vote keeps the Liberty Community Development Corporation and its 0.5% sales tax as they are.
