THIS IS A TAX INCREASE Ratifying the ad valorem tax rate of $0.9698 per $100 valuation in the Bay City Independent School District for the current year, a rate that will result in an increase of 0 percent in maintenance and operations tax revenue for the District for the current year as compared to the preceding year, which is an additional $0, for the purpose of replacing the expired disaster pennies used for maintaining and operating the district.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote ratifies Bay City ISD's $0.9698 tax rate, which the ballot says replaces expired disaster pennies with a 0% ($0) increase in maintenance and operations revenue.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the adopted $0.9698 tax rate.
