THIS IS A TAX INCREASE. Shall the Board of Directors of Sandow Municipal Utility District No. 1E be authorized to levy and collect an operation and maintenance tax (in addition to any other operation and maintenance tax authorized by the voters of said District) not to exceed one dollar and twenty cents ($1.20) per one hundred dollars ($100) valuation on all taxable property within said District to secure funds for operation and maintenance of all District facilities authorized by Article XVI, Section 59, of the Texas Constitution, including, but not limited to, funds for planning, constructing, acquiring, maintaining, repairing, and operating all necessary land, plants, works, facilities, improvements, appliances, and equipment of the District, and for paying related costs of proper services, engineering and legal fees, and organization and administrative expenses?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote lets the district levy an operation and maintenance tax of up to $1.20 per $100 of valuation for its Article XVI, Section 59 facilities.
A “No” vote means
A no vote does not authorize this maintenance tax.
