CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI CHARTER AMENDMENT REGARDING INDUSTRIAL WATER DROUGHT SURCHARGE AND CURTAILMENT. Shall Article IX of the City Charter be amended to terminate and prohibit programs that exempt large industrial water users from drought surcharges or curtailment requirements during declared drought stages, and require large industrial water users to pay drought surcharges at rates set by the City Council in the March 2025 Drought Contingency Plan?
A “Yes” vote means
Yes adds a charter section ending and barring drought-surcharge and curtailment exemptions for large industrial water users and requiring them to pay the March 2025 drought surcharges.
A “No” vote means
No leaves the City Charter without this section on large industrial water users during declared droughts.
