THIS IS A TAX INCREASE “Ratifying the ad valorem tax rate of $1.2857 per $100 valuation in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District for the current year, a rate that will result in an increase of 5.23 percent in maintenance and operations tax revenue for the District for the current year as compared to the preceding year, which is an additional $6,159,156.”
A “Yes” vote means
A vote for ratifies the district's $1.2857 tax rate, raising maintenance and operations tax revenue 5.23% ($6,159,156) over last year.
A “No” vote means
A vote against rejects the adopted $1.2857 tax rate for the current year.
The district says the rate includes four additional maintenance and operations cents per $100 of value.
