THIS IS A TAX INCREASE RATIFYING THE AD VALOREM TAX RATE OF $1.61510 IN WELLMAN-UNION INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE CURRENT YEAR, A RATE THAT WILL RESULT IN AN INCREASE OF 13.73 PERCENT IN MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS TAX REVENUE FOR THE DISTRICT FOR THE CURRENT YEAR AS COMPARED TO THE PRECEDING YEAR, WHICH IS AN ADDITIONAL $121,283.
A “Yes” vote means
A vote for ratifies Wellman-Union ISD's $1.61510 tax rate, which the ballot says raises maintenance and operations tax revenue 13.73 percent ($121,283) over last year.
A “No” vote means
A vote against does not ratify the $1.61510 rate.
