Shall the City of Pflugerville City Charter be amended to add a new section requiring the City Council to adopt protections governing the collection, use, retention, and oversight of data, facial recognition, and surveillance technologies, to establish transparent approval processes for such technologies, and to require a responsible artificial intelligence framework?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote requires the council to adopt rules on data, facial recognition and surveillance technology, approval processes for them, and a responsible AI framework.
A “No” vote means
A no vote leaves this part of the Pflugerville City Charter unchanged.
