Shall the County of Amelia, Virginia be allowed to enact a local retail sales tax of up to one percent (1%) to provide funds that can only be used for construction or major renovation of public schools in the County of Amelia for a period of not more than twenty years?
A “Yes” vote means
Amelia County may enact a local sales tax of up to 1% for up to 20 years, with the money used only for construction or major renovation of public schools.
A “No” vote means
Amelia County does not get authority to enact the added local sales tax of up to 1% for public school construction.
