The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall Nottoway County be authorized to levy a general local sales tax rate at a rate of one percent (1%) with the revenues of such tax to be used solely for capital projects for the construction or renovation of schools in Nottoway County, including related bond and loan financing costs, for a period of not more than twenty (20) years.
A “Yes” vote means
Nottoway County may levy an added 1% local sales tax for up to 20 years, with the revenue used only for school construction or renovation, including related bond and loan costs.
A “No” vote means
Nottoway County does not get authority to levy the added 1% local sales tax for school construction and renovation.
