Shall Smyth County be authorized to levy an additional local sales tax at a rate of one percent, with the revenues from such tax to be used solely for capital projects for the construction or renovation of schools in Smyth County, and with such tax to expire on July 9, 2046?
A “Yes” vote means
Smyth County would be authorized to levy an extra 1% local sales tax, used only for building or renovating schools in the county; the tax would expire July 9, 2046.
A “No” vote means
Smyth County would not be authorized to levy the extra 1% local sales tax for school construction and renovation.
