Shall the County of Sussex, Virginia be allowed to enact a local retail sales tax of up to one percent (1%) to provide funds that can only be used for construction or major renovation of public schools in the County of Sussex for a period of not more than twenty years?
A “Yes” vote means
Allows the county to enact a local sales tax of up to 1%, with funds used only for construction or major renovation of public schools, for no more than twenty years.
A “No” vote means
The county is not allowed by this referendum to enact the additional local sales tax for school construction.
