The question, as printed on the ballot

The Clallam County Charter Review Commission has adopted Resolution No. 5 concerning local voters' pamphlet print requirements for proposed charter amendments. This proposition would amend Article XI of the Clallam County Charter to require the full text of all proposed charter amendments to be printed in the local voters' pamphlet. Should this proposition be:

A “Yes” vote means

The full text of every future proposed charter amendment must be printed in the local voters' pamphlet.

A “No” vote means

The charter's current pamphlet requirement for amendment text stays as is.

Official plain English statement

If adopted, this measure would amend Article XI of the Clallam County Charter to require the full text of all Charter amendments be printed in the local voters' pamphlet. Currently, Article XI of the Clallam County Charter requires the text of the amendment to be printed in the local voters' pamphlet. The amendment, if approved, will require the full text of any future proposed Charter amendment be printed in the local voters' pamphlet, consistent with the treatment of the text of proposed statewide initiatives in the state voters' pamphlet.
