Concerning Revised Council Powers Regarding Boards and Commissions The Clark County Charter Review Commission adopted Resolution No. 26-23 proposing an amendment to the Clark County Home Rule Charter, concerning revised Council powers regarding boards and commissions. If approved, this amendment would give the County Council the concurrent authority with the County Manager to nominate members to all boards and commissions, with the exception of the Ethics Review Commission. Should this amendment be:
A “Yes” vote means
The County Council would share authority with the County Manager to nominate members to boards and commissions, except the Ethics Review Commission.
A “No” vote means
Nominations to boards and commissions would stay as the current charter provides.
