DOUGLAS COUNTY CEMETERY DISTRICT #2 SPECIAL 1 YEAR EXCESS MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS LEVY The Douglas County Cemetery District #2 Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 2026-001 on 4 August 2026, concerning a proposition for an excess maintenance and operations levy. This proposition would authorize the District to levy excess tax upon all taxable property with the District in the sum of $50,000, requiring collection of approximately $0.22 per thousand of assessed valuation in 2027. Should this proposition be approved?
A “Yes” vote means
Approves a one-year $50,000 levy (about $0.22 per $1,000) collected in 2027 to maintain and operate the district's cemeteries and mausoleum.
A “No” vote means
The one-year $50,000 cemetery levy is not collected.

Douglas County Cemetery District #2 is placing a one-year excess maintenance and operations levy on the November 2026 General Election Ballot. The Cemetery District provides general maintenance and operations, and cemetery services, for 7 Cemeteries and 1 Mausoleum within the District. If approved, this proposition will authorize the District to collect $50,000.00 through property taxes for continued operations, which is approximately $0.22 per $1,000.00 of assessed value on all taxable property within the District in 2027.
