BONDS TO REBUILD AND MODERNIZE DETERIORATING SCHOOLS AND IMPROVE SAFETY The Board of Directors of Eastmont School district No. 206 adopted Resolution No. 2026-02, concerning bonds to improve deteriorating school facilities, educational opportunities and safety. This proposition would authorize the District to: rebuild and modernize the oldest and deteriorating portions of Cascade, Kenroy and Lee Elementary Schools, including adding permanent classrooms to replace portables; make districtwide priority building and safety upgrades, including improving parking, student pickup/drop off areas, athletic facilities, deteriorating roofing, outdoor lighting, HVAC; issue $125,000,000 of general obligation bonds maturing within 20 years; and levy annual excess property taxes to repay the bonds, all as provided in Resolution 2026-02. Should this proposition be:
A “Yes” vote means
Authorizes $125,000,000 in 20-year bonds, repaid by property taxes, to rebuild parts of Cascade, Kenroy and Lee elementaries and make districtwide upgrades.
A “No” vote means
The district may not issue these bonds or levy the property tax to repay them.

Proposition 1 authorizes school construction bonds to rebuild and modernize deteriorating schools, including improving student and staff safety and security, improving and expanding educational spaces, and improving outdated infrastructure. The bonds will allow Eastmont School District to: (1) rebuild and modernize the oldest and deteriorating portions of Cascade Elementary School, Kenroy Elementary School and Lee Elementary School (including constructing permanent classrooms to replace existing portable classrooms; upgrading existing classrooms, playfields, parking, student pickup/drop off areas, and other school facilities; and making other safety, security, facility and site improvements); and (2) make districtwide priority building and safety upgrades (including improving parking and student pickup/drop off areas; upgrading student and community use tennis courts, track and stadium bleachers; replacing deteriorating roofing; upgrading outdoor lighting; upgrading HVAC; and improving interior finishings; and making other districtwide priority building and safety upgrades. The $125,000,000 of general obligation bonds will be repaid from annual excess property taxes sufficient to pay bond debt service over a maximum term of 20 years.
