The Board of Commissioners of Public Hospital District No. 1, Okanogan and Douglas Counties, Washington, adopted Resolution No. 2026-10 concerning a proposition for the construction of improvements to Three Rivers Hospital. If approved, this proposition authorizes the District to construct, equip, remodel, renovate, and furnish improvements to Three Rivers Hospital and carry out other capital improvements deemed necessary or advisable by the Commission; issue no more than $48,000,000 of general obligation bonds maturing within 30 years; and levy annual excess property taxes to repay the bonds, all as provided in Resolution No. 2026-10. Should this proposition be:

A “Yes” vote means

Authorizes up to $48,000,000 in 30-year bonds, repaid by property taxes (est. 73 cents per $1,000), to renovate and improve Three Rivers Hospital in Brewster.

A “No” vote means

The hospital district may not issue these bonds or levy the property tax to repay them.

The Board of Commissioners of Public Hospital District No. 1, Okanogan and Douglas Counties, Washington (Three Rivers Hospital) has determined that it is necessary to submit to the voters of the District a proposition authorizing the District to issue general obligation bonds for the purpose of paying costs of renovating and remodeling Three Rivers Hospital in Brewster, Washington. The Board of Commissioners determined that the existing condition of health care facilities requires that the District construct and equip improvements to the existing hospital facility and carry out other capital improvements. If approved, this proposition would authorize up to $48,000,000 of general obligation bonds that would mature within a maximum of 30 years and be repaid from annual excess property tax levies at an estimated rate of 73 cents per $1,000 of assessed value, or an estimated $18 per month for a $300,000 home.
