The question, as printed on the ballot
Proposition No. 1 Pacific County, Washington Ambulance and Emergency Medical Services Funding The North Pacific Emergency Medical Services District No. 1 has passed Resolution 2026-721 concerning the collection of an excess levy of forty cents per thousand dollars of assessed value ($.40/1000av), replacing the expired 2026 levy, estimated to collect not more than eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000), against all property in Pacific County, except for that property which is within the boundaries of the Ocean Beach, Ocosta, or North River School Districts and collected in 2027 to subsidize Ambulance and emergency medical services within the North Pacific County Emergency Medical Services District #1 service area. Should this be approved:
A “Yes” vote means
Authorizes a one-year excess property tax of $0.40 per $1,000 (up to $800,000) collected in 2027 for ambulance and emergency medical services. Needs 60% yes.
A “No” vote means
Rejects the levy; the 2026 levy has expired and the district would not collect this tax in 2027.
Official plain English statement
North Pacific County Emergency Medical Service District #1 is the entity that provides ambulance/medical response service to the greater Naselle, Nemah, Bay Center, South Bend, Raymond and Willapa Valley areas. The District provides vehicles, equipment and, through contract with the City of Raymond and Pacific County Fire Protection District #4, staffing to insure a professional and timely medical response organization. If approved by the voters, this levy, which must be renewed annually, will authorize the district to collect not more than $0.40 per thousand of assessed value or not more than $800,000 total in calendar year 2027. This levy, which needs a 60% approval by the voters, replaces the expired 2026 levy and if approved will insure that the District will be able to continue its' current service levels through 2027.
