Official plain English statement

Pacific County Fire Protection District #3 is the organization that provides fire prevention, protection and suppression to Baleville, Elk Horn Flats, Old Willapa, East Raymond, Menlo, Lebam and Frances. As costs have recently risen significantly, the District has operated on an annual tax revenue increase of 1.76 percent over the last 14 years (far under the annual inflation rate) and is in need of an increased levy to continue our current service level. If approved by the voters, this levy will authorize the District to collect not more than $0.61 per thousand of assessed value which is a $0.20 increase per thousand assessed value. This levy, which needs a 50% approval by the voters, will ensure that the District will be able to continue its current service levels for the near future.
