Official plain English statement
Approval of this Proposition would change port commissioner terms at the Port of Lopez from four to six years, resulting in one commission seat up for election every other election cycle. Rejection of this Proposition would keep the Port's commissioner term length at the current four years with two seats up for election every fourth year. If approved, terms of current commissioners would be unchanged. The six-year terms would apply only to subsequently elected commissioners.
