Proposition No. 2 Cheney School District No. 360 Replacement Capital Levy for Technology, Security and Infrastructure Improvements The Board of Directors of Cheney School District No. 360 adopted Resolution No. 28-25-26, concerning a replacement levy for capital improvements. This proposition would authorize the District to levy the following excess taxes, in place of an expiring levy, on all taxable property within the District, to make technology, security and infrastructure improvements (including acquiring and installing instructional technology equipment, security cameras and entry controls; and upgrading other infrastructure for safety): Collection Year Estimated Levy Rate/ $1,000 Assessed Value Levy Amount 2028 $0.10 $880,000 2029 $0.15 $1,350,000 2030 $0.20 $1,900,000 all as provided in Resolution No. 28-25-26. A “Yes” vote means

A “No” vote means
Cheney School District's technology, security and infrastructure capital levy expires in 2027 and is not replaced by this levy.

Proposition 2 would replace an existing capital levy expiring in 2027. This replacement levy will be used to pay costs of making technology, safety, security and infrastructure improvements throughout school facilities, including: (1) acquiring, installing, implementing and modernizing instructional technology equipment, infrastructure, systems and facilities; (2) acquiring, installing, implementing and modernizing security cameras, entry/access controls, door locks and other safety and security systems; (3) upgrading and/or improving other infrastructure for safety (including bleachers, locker rooms, heating and cooling systems and equipment, electrical, plumbing, roofing, lighting and fencing). Visit: www.cheneysd.org. The proposed three-year replacement levy would authorize collection of $880,000 in 2028, $1,350,000 in 2029 and $1,900,000 in 2030. The levy rate per $1,000 of assessed value required to produce these amounts is estimated to be $0.10 in 2028, $0.15 in 2029, and $0.20 in 2030. Exemptions from taxes may be available, contact your county assessor.
