Proposition No. 1 Nine Mile Falls School District No. 325-179 Replacement Educational Programs And Operations Levy The Board of Directors of Nine Mile Falls School District No. 325-179 adopted Resolution No. 11-26, concerning a proposition to finance educational programs and operations expenses. This proposition would authorize the District to levy the following excess taxes, replacing an expiring levy, on all taxable property within the District, for support of educational programs and operations expenses not funded by the State (including safety, music, arts, nurses, counselors, class size reduction, athletics, transportation, technology, extracurricular and enrichment activities): Collection Year Estimated Levy Rate/ $1,000 Assessed Value Levy Amount 2028 $2.10 $4,354,837 2029 $2.10 $4,428,827 2030 $2.10 $4,504,075 all as provided in Resolution No. 11-26. Should this proposition be approved?
A “Yes” vote means
Nine Mile Falls School District replaces its expiring programs and operations levy: an estimated $2.10 per $1,000 of assessed value, about $4.35 million to $4.5 million a year, 2028–2030.
A “No” vote means
Nine Mile Falls School District's programs and operations levy expires in 2027 and is not replaced by this levy.

Proposition 1 would allow Nine Mile Falls School District to replace an existing educational programs and operations levy expiring in 2027. The replacement levy will be used to pay expenses of educational programs and operations not funded by the State, including: staffing and supports for safety, music and fine arts, nurses, counselors, class size reduction, athletics and extracurricular activities, certificated and classified staffing and salaries, enrichment activities, transportation, summer activities, maintenance and operations, technology, nutrition services, and special education. Further information at: www.9mile.org. The proposed three-year replacement levy would authorize the collection of up to $4,354,837 in 2028, $4,428,827 in 2029 and $4,504,075 in 2030. The levy rate required to produce these amounts is estimated to be $2.10 per $1,000 of assessed value. The exact levy rates and amounts may be adjusted based upon the actual assessed value of the taxable property within the District and the limitations imposed by State law at the time of the levy. Exemptions from taxes may be available, contact your county assessor.
