The question, as printed on the ballot
If approved by voters, this proposition would authorize Wahkiakum County to levy a regular property tax at a rate not to exceed forty cents per one thousand dollars of assessed valuation on all taxable property within the district. The levy proceeds would be used to fund operational and equipment costs as more fully described in Wahkiakum County Resolution No. 87-26 and RCW 84.52.069. The levy would be authorized for a six-year period with collection beginning in 2027. Qualifying seniors, veterans, and disabled persons would be eligible for exemption from the levy under RCW 84.36.381. Should this levy be:
A “Yes” vote means
Wahkiakum County could levy up to $0.40 per $1,000 of assessed value for six years, starting in 2027, for emergency medical services.
A “No” vote means
The county's emergency medical services levy would not be replaced when the existing levy ends.
