The Town Council of the Town of Garfield adopted Resolution 2026-13 concerning a proposition to finance street maintenance and repair and street improvements in the Town of Garfield. This proposition would authorize the Town of Garfield to collect an excess property tax levy upon all taxable property within the town in the amount of $72,000, an estimated $2.24 per $1,000.00 of assessed value in the year 2026, for collection in 2027. The funds collected from the street levy are used to support the maintenance and upkeep of all streets within the town limits.
