Shall a special levy of $75,000, an estimated $0.31 per $1,000 of assessed valuation, be imposed on all real property in Lacrosse Parks and Recreation District 1, to be collected in 2027, for the operation, maintenance, and capital improvements of the Swimming Pool and existing buildings?
A “Yes” vote means
The park district levies a special tax of $75,000 (an estimated $0.31 per $1,000 of assessed value), collected in 2027 to operate, maintain and improve the swimming pool and buildings.
A “No” vote means
The park district does not levy the $75,000 special tax in 2027.
Official plain English statement
The Proposed Special Levy of $75,000 will continue to support the operation, maintenance, and capital improvements for the swimming pool and existing buildings. Operation costs include lifeguard salaries, pool chemicals, utilities, and office supplies. Maintenance costs include professional services, repairs, construction, and painting supplies. Recent improvements include resealing the expansion joints, installing a second new pool filter, and painting. This levy also supports the numerous youth sports programs that the Parks and Recreation District sponsors, including: swim team, soccer, football, basketball, and baseball.
