For the purpose of funding street improvements and equipment, the City Council of the City of Palouse proposes, pursuant to RCW 84.52.052, to impose an excess property tax levy upon all taxable property within the City in the amount of $50,000.00, an estimated $0.6641 per $1,000.00 of assessed value in the year 2026 for collection in 2027, as provided in Resolution 2026-10. Should this proposition be approved?
A “Yes” vote means
Palouse levies an excess property tax of $50,000 (an estimated $0.6641 per $1,000 in the ballot title) for street improvements and street maintenance vehicles and equipment, collected in 2027.
A “No” vote means
Palouse does not levy the $50,000 street improvements and equipment excess property tax in 2027.

The City of Palouse is seeking voter support for street improvements and for the purchase, repair, and maintenance of vehicles and equipment used to maintain the City's streets. The City Council requests that voters approve Proposition 3, as authorized by Resolution 2026-10, which authorizes an excess property tax levy of $0.53748 per $1,000 of assessed property value for this purpose.
