Official plain English statement
Proposition No. 1 would renew the Town's special property tax levy in the amount of $90,000 to help fund the maintenance, repair, improvement, and replacement of streets, sidewalks, and related public infrastructure within the Town. Levy revenues may be used for street and sidewalk maintenance, chip sealing, pothole repair, replacement of manhole covers, street sweeping, and other general street maintenance activities. Recent improvements have included chip sealing streets, repairing potholes, replacing manhole covers, and street sweeping. If approved, the levy would provide continued funding to help maintain the Town's transportation infrastructure and support safe and reliable public streets and sidewalks for residents and visitors.
