The question, as printed on the ballot
Election to authorize a levy for the fiscal years beginning July 1, 2027, 2028, 2029, and 2030 for the purpose of contributing funds from such levy for emergency medical services for the acquisition of equipment and other capital improvements, payment of a portion of general operating, maintenance, and other expenses in the amount of approximately $5,345,131 annually and $21,380,524 during the term of the Levy. The need for such funding has been determined by the Order of the County Commission of Monongalia County, West Virginia entered on the 19th day of August 2026. The additional levy for each one hundred dollars assessed valuation of property for each of the fiscal years beginning July 1, 2027, July 1, 2028, July 1, 2029, and July 1, 2030, shall be: CLASS I properties 2.40 cents CLASS II properties 4.80 cents CLASS III properties 9.60 cents CLASS IV properties 9.60 cents
A “Yes” vote means
Authorizes an additional county levy for fiscal years 2027–2030 to fund emergency medical services, about $5.35 million a year (2.40–9.60 cents per $100 of assessed value by property class).
A “No” vote means
The additional county levy for emergency medical services is not authorized.
