The question, as printed on the ballot
Special election to authorize continuation of additional levies for the fiscal years beginning July 1, 2027, July 1, 2028, July 1, 2029, and July 1, 2030, and for the purpose of (a.) repairs & maintenance of facilities & equipment, (b.) Repair & Maintenance of Streets, (c.) Purchase of Equipment and (d.) Parks & Recreation, according to the order of the Council entered the 7th day of July 2026. The additional levy shall be on Class I property 6.25 cents, on Class II property 12.5, on Class IV property 25 cents per $100 of assessed valuation.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote continues Montgomery's additional property tax levy for four fiscal years starting July 1, 2027, for facilities, streets, equipment, and parks and recreation.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects continuing Montgomery's additional levy for those fiscal years.
Montgomery straddles Fayette (52% of residents) and Kanawha counties; Fayette's module owns the question. The Fayette sample ballot heads it "Official Levy Ballot: Montgomery City Special Levy".
