What this office does: An at-large member of the Council of the District of Columbia represents the whole District, voting on its laws and budget.

Ranked-choice voting (Initiative 83): voters may rank up to 5 choices. This contest fills two at-large seats whose current terms end January 2, 2027: those held by Anita Bonds (Democratic; not on this ballot) and Elissa Silverman (Independent), who won the June 16, 2026 special election for the rest of Kenyan McDuffie's term. Per the Board of Elections, counting continues in rounds until two candidates remain, and both are declared winners. Declared write-in candidate: Joe Jackson (Independent).
