What this office does: The Commonwealth's Attorney prosecutes felonies in the circuit's counties.

The current Commonwealth's Attorney, Michael Boyd "Bo" Stacy II, was appointed by Gov. Andy Beshear in May 2025 after the death of his father, Commonwealth's Attorney Mike Stacy; he is not on the ballot (WPSD Local 6). This election fills the rest of the term; the office's next regular election is in 2030 (State Board of Elections election schedule).
