What this office does: Magistrates (justices of the peace) are each elected by one magisterial district and sit with the county judge/executive on the Estill County Fiscal Court, which adopts the county budget and ordinances.

On the ballot in the White Oak, Millers Creek, Cow Creek, Forks and Barnes Mt. precincts. Open seat: Magistrate Paul Tipton is not on the ballot.
