What this office does: Magistrates sit on the Shelby County Fiscal Court with the county judge/executive: they adopt the county budget, set county tax rates and pass ordinances. Each is elected by the voters of one magisterial district.

On the ballot in the East Bagdad, Cropper, Jail Hill, West Bagdad and Boone Station precincts (sample ballot). Open seat: Magistrate Bill Hedges is not on the ballot.
