What this office does: Members of the Taylor County Board of Education govern the Taylor County School District: they hire the superintendent, adopt the budget and set school tax rates. Each is elected by the voters of one educational district to a four-year term.

Nonpartisan. On the ballot in the Oak Hill-Popular Grove, Saloma/Willowtown and Pleasant-Hill precincts (sample ballot). The Secretary of State's list of filings with the county clerk spells the first name "Chastity"; the sample ballot prints "Chasity".
