What this office does: The Board of County Commissioners is Passaic County's governing body: it adopts the county budget and oversees county roads, parks, facilities and services.

Two seats, three-year terms. Nicholas Veliky sits on the board by appointment to John Bartlett's former seat and is running for the full-term seat of Bruce James, who did not seek re-election (New Jersey Globe). Republican Edward Leonard replaced primary winner Daiel Sagan, who withdrew.
