Judge of Porter Superior Court 4 since January 2021, after serving as Lowell Town Court judge from 2016 to 2020; he presides over the county's adult mental health problem-solving court and chairs Indiana's statewide Problem-Solving Courts Committee. A Marine Corps veteran and former adjunct law professor at Valparaiso University, he pleaded guilty in August 2026 to a misdemeanor drunken-driving charge, has been off the bench since, and announced he was temporarily suspending his re-election campaign; he remains on the ballot.
