A St. Johnsbury resident, small business owner and North Danville sugarmaker, he was appointed by Gov. Phil Scott to the Commission on the Future of Vermont Agriculture and is president of the Lake Fairlee Association. He was the Democratic nominee for Congress in California's 45th District in 2006.
