Background for Fa'amomoi Masaniai, Jr.

King County District Court judge since his January 2021 appointment, elected in 2022, and Washington's first Samoan judge; previously a public defender, prosecutor, civil litigator and assistant attorney general in American Samoa. In April 2026 the state Commission on Judicial Conduct reprimanded him, by stipulation, for conduct toward a court clerk.
