State representative from 2016 to 2022 for most of Greene and northern Martin and Daviess counties, a retired firefighter, and owner of J.R. Ellington Tree Experts and Ellington Stables; he is the Greene County Republican chairman. He won a three-way May 2026 Republican primary with 46% of the vote.
